pcProx (125kHz) Indala-compatible readers
The family of pcProx proximity card readers eliminates the need for manual entry providing error-free identification. pcProx is compatible with over 300 million physical access proximity cards. This reader allows users to use their building access card for other forms of identification and security throughout their workplace. The plug-n-play reader comes with flash memory, allowing the user to quickly configure the output to meet the user's needs.
As a card enrolment or ID badge reader/tester, the USB model emulates a keyboard and will keystroke the card's ID and/or site code to the cursor's location on the screen. The reader can be configured to add keystrokes before and after the card's data. The serial version, available in RS-232, Ethernet, or USB-async, delivers the card's data in ASCII.
It can be used as a standalone system, or be seamlessly integrated with other software applications using the optional SDK (software developer's kit). As an integrated reader you will find applications such as PC/LAN logon, single sign-on, card enrolment, visitor management, vending, point of sale, time/attendance, user authorization, seminar, fitness or training attendance, magnetic card emulation, and more.

Indala custom format
As a means of ensuring that cards are unique to a specific site, Indala introduced its custom format, where readers are configured to be able to read cards in a specific custom format.
The RDR-6381AKU-xxxxx and RDR-6381AK2-xxxxx are the custom format versions of the RDR-6381AKU and RDR-6381AK2 respectively.
In some cases it is necessary to use an HID OEM module for the Indala reader format, and because these are larger than the RF IDeas' module, they require a larger case denoted by the part number 6371
The xxxxx part of the product code given below is in practice replaced by the five digit reader reference number for the specific custom format; note that the corresponding card reference number is not the same, although it refers to the same format.
We offer the custom reader format 17205 below, which reads 4038x Clock and Data formatted cards and outputs Wiegand data. This format allows the reader to read a standard magnetic stripe card and output 26-bit Wiegand data.
